The fact that I didn't even look up from whatever vendor's wares I was perusing tells you how unlikely I thought it was that Renee or anyone else for that matter would fall into the canals of Venice. It's a shame that I didn't look up earlier, because I would have gotten better photos. In this photo, you can see the scene of the crime. You can just make out the wet footprints leading away from the stairs to the left. That would be from Renee.
More evidence of the mishap in the soaking wet jeans. No injuries, just a badly bruised ego as she had quite the audience of onlookers.
We went back the next day for another look. Renee says that 3rd step is slippier than it looks.
