Eliot's New Wagon
Much to Kaya's dismay, Eliot got a very nice wagon for x-mas. Thanks grandma and grandpa.

More Orlando Photos
Eliot's 1st bar visit. Very fitting that it's the Friendly Confines. Yes, that's Becki tending bar. 2% on the rocks if you please.
Uncle Ryan trying to teach Eliot a little rhythm early. Very much appreciated. It won't come from his father.
Renee showed her appreciation by tipping Eliot to the Band. They declined stating that he appeared to be expensive.

Kaya makes the blog
Eliot has been showing a lot of interest in Kaya lately. He likes staring at her eyes for long stretches of time. She just wants to know why he never throws the ball. She brings it right to him. Nothing like getting a slobbery ball dropped on your forehead to wake you up in the morning.

BAD APPENDIX !
Evidently this is not what your appendix is supposed to look like. So they took Renee's out Thursday morning. If they would have asked me, I would have guessed her excruciating pain would have been from that huge arrow in her belly. They must have been right though as she went home Saturday morning and is feeling much better now. It also gave me my first two nights home alone with Eliot. He was on unbelievably good behavior. I think he was just shocked that we were allowed to be by ourselves for that long. Thanks for everyone's help in getting us through this exciting event.

Eliot and Kennedy
So this is Eliot with his new girlfriend, um, I mean, nanny share partner. She's quite the cutie... and is always wearing very hip, baby gapish type clothes. So Auntie Grace took pity on her nephew (and his uncool parents), and brought him this hip little outfit with the hoodie you see here. We may need some Uncle Dave and Uncle Ryan "cool" intervention too!

Pumpkin Picking (sort of...)
Eliot called "front seat" first. His buddy, Noah, had to ride in the back as we went pumpkin picking (really just pumpkin selecting since they had already been picked).
Eliot in a patch of pumkins. We were reminded of previously learned lessons that you shoud always feed him prior to going on pumpkin picking expeditions. He was on moderately good behavior.
Long day -> Nap time. Again, Eliot called dibs on the Baby Papasan first. We were going to teach him about sharing, but hey, you can't argue with dibs.

Let the embarrassment begin now.
Eliot doesn't realize it, but he has a purple butt in this picture. He looks so happy, but it is purple. You see he has had a pretty bad rash for several weeks. Evidently the same stuff that is used to dye cells in biology class can be used to treat butt rash. Who would have guessed? The only drawback is that you end up with a purple butt for a while.
See. I told you so.

Tree UpdateSo remember that 100' oak that fell in our backyard in July...
We finally got it taken care of. They came in with this enormous crane, cut it up into sections and lifted it directly over the house. Renee and Eliot filmed from a safe spot across the street. Unbelieveably, they left Kaya inside the house to fend for herself in case tragedy struck. Evidently, she has fallen down a notch on the rescue scale. :( We still love her though.
